Job Details
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Certifications:
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent)
Required Leadership Competencies:
- Command and Control (C2)
- Situational Leadership
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to refine and improve reports and metrics
Experience & Skills
Project Experience:
- 7+ years in IT with broad understanding of applications, databases, networking, and telecommunications
- 5+ years in project management with a focus on team development
- Experience leading small to medium-scale application development or infrastructure deployment projects
Methodologies:
- Familiarity with multiple SDLCs: Agile, Waterfall, Iterative
Technical Tools:
- Expert proficiency in MS Office Suite (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic familiarity with Clarity or other portfolio/program management software
- Proficient in JIRA
Responsibilities
- Lead medium to occasionally large internal IT or business projects
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk
- Create and adapt project work plans to meet changing needs
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources
- Forecast and report on project financials and resource utilization
- Facilitate project reviews, audits, and executive reporting
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects meeting functional and quality specifications
