Title: Technician I, Information Technology

Performs basic tasks to provide technical support for a range of hardware and software, which include computers, Macs, Chromebooks, interactive boards, and network infrastructure. Facilitates technical training and support at various school locations or from a central office. Performs duties under direct supervision as an entry-level individual contributor.

Essential Job Duties

Provides technical support and resolves issues related to software, hardware, phone systems, and network connectivity for end-users.
Assists with the maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of technology equipment such as computers, laptops, Chromebooks, Macs, tablets, peripherals, and wireless technology.
Oversees Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) support at a basic competency level while ensuring proper network infrastructure functionality.
Maintains accurate inventory records for technology equipment and administers asset management processes to ensure devices are accounted for and in working order.
Responds to IT support tickets promptly and provides guidance to users on the effective use of technology.
Ensures the timely resolution of incidents and service requests through various channels, including phone calls, emails, or in-person.
Collaborates with school administrators or staff to meet their technological needs by providing guidance on IT-related matters as required.
Performs administrative tasks related to technology management.
Follows established standard operating procedures and systems to accomplish tasks.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A High School diploma or GED is required.
Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is preferred.
A+ certification or N+ certification is preferred.
