Crossflow Technologies, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer, Senior located in Kettering, OH (Dayton, WPAFB) to support our EPASS GB contract. As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate, the Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS) is the primary Air Force (AF) enterprise maintenance data system used for collecting, validating, editing, standardizing, and reporting equipment maintenance information on a global world-wide basis. REMIS consists of a fully integrated relational database providing a single source of all reportable AF weapon system data to over 1,100 authorized AF users. REMIS is a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) financial feeder system that provides accounting/accountability of all AF aerospace vehicles (F-35, F22, F-15, F-16, A- 10, C-130, C-17, C-5, etc.), Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles and ICBMs. It provides real time status on aircraft and weapon systems combat readiness, availability, reliability, maintainability, trend analysis, failure prediction, utilization, and configuration status. The REMIS supplement RDT&E efforts are focused on modernizing and improving this Air Force capability.

As a Systems Engineer, Senior your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Identify, describe, and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies, best practices, IT-related performance measures and quality management in support of acquisition planning, information assurance/cybersecurity, test and evaluation processes, verification and validation processes, and/or, fielding and sustaining of lT/software systems;
  • Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and
  • design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications;
  • Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications;
  • Prepare technical documentation which defines, specifies, and recommends system/subsystem characteristics;
  • Prepare management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering principles;
  • Perform validation of software systems including development of analyses/evaluation criteria and procedures, analyses/evaluation of results, and related recommendations;
  • Provide Agile and Digital system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives including, but not limited to, acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight;
  • Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with AF Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes; and,
  • Perform all (system) engineering according to applicable DOW, AF, AFMC directives, instructions, and manuals, to include, but not be limited to, AFI 63-101, AFMAN 63-144, AFMCI 63-1202, AFMAN 63-128, AF/ 99-103 - and their updates, successors (as happens over time).

Job Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Advanced Degree (MA/MS) or Doctorate from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 10 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoW, or
  • BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoW, or,
  • 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoW.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Must possess and maintain a Tier 1/NACI clearance.
  • Certifications Requirements (Possesses any or all of the following certifications)
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, (or associate)
    • AWS Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Axure equivalent
    • Current certification in Oracle/OCI products and/or databases
    • Agile/Scrum Certifications - Desired
