Job Description Everforth ECS is seeking an experienced
Business Analyst to support enterprise data modernization and AI/ML-enabled transformation initiatives for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This role serves as a critical liaison between mission stakeholders, technical teams, data engineers, and analytics personnel to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into scalable technology solutions. The Business Analyst will support operational modernization efforts focused on advanced analytics, workflow optimization, predictive insights, and enterprise data initiatives supporting CPSC's Sentinel-driven product safety analytics environment.
Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify operational challenges, modernization opportunities, and AI/ML use cases.
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions and document both functional and non-functional business requirements.
- Perform business process modeling (BPMN), workflow analysis, and gap assessments to identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, process flows, and technical requirements for engineering and analytics teams.
- Support AI/ML and analytics solution planning by validating alignment with mission objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with development of KPIs, performance metrics, and success criteria for modernization initiatives.
- Support change management and user adoption efforts associated with new systems, analytics platforms, and operational workflows.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, technical teams, architects, and leadership.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document testing results, and coordinate issue resolution activities.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, process documentation, impact assessments, and business cases supporting technology adoption.
- Participate in Agile delivery processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives supporting enterprise data modernization and analytics transformation efforts.
Salary Range: $120,000-130,000

Required Skills - 5+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements management, or operational process improvement initiatives.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with business process modeling (BPMN) and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Strong understanding of workflow optimization, process transformation, and business operations analysis.
- Experience supporting technology modernization, analytics, data, or AI/ML-related initiatives.
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows, predictive analytics concepts, and data-driven operational improvements.
- Experience using collaboration and documentation tools including Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Experience supporting cross-functional Agile delivery environments.
Education Requirement Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
OR equivalent professional experience.
Desired Skills - Experience supporting federal government programs or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with Azure-based cloud modernization initiatives and enterprise analytics environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise AI/ML, analytics, or data governance initiatives.
- Agile or Scrum-related certifications are desirable.
- Experience preparing impact assessments, operational analyses, and executive-level reporting artifacts.
