Title                                : Senior ETL Developer – BODS

 

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with Business Objects Data Services (BODS)
• Expertise in ETL architecture, design, development, and optimization
• Strong SQL proficiency with hands-on experience in Oracle and SQL Server
• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and Data Modelling
• Experience in data integration, migration, and transformation
• Hands-on experience in Unix / Shell scripting
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and governance practices
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end ETL development initiatives using BODS
• Collaborate independently with business users, product owners, and stakeholders
to understand data requirements and translate them into ETL solutions
• Analyze existing ETL solutions and identify, implement, and optimize code changes
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize ETL jobs to ensure data accuracy,
performance, and reliability
• Design and implement efficient data models and transformation logic
• Work extensively with Oracle databases for querying, tuning, and performance optimization
• Develop and maintain Unix scripts to automate ETL operations and batch jobs
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards
• Coordinate with data warehouse and downstream application teams to ensure
smooth data integration
• Document ETL designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
• Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements to ETL processes.
• Act as a Scrum Master / ETL Lead, ensuring Agile best practices, sprint execution,
and delivery quality.

Role Descriptions:
Strong experience in BODS. In-depth knowledge of ETL process| data warehousing and data modelling. Proficient in SQL| experience working with relational databases (oracle| SQL server) Experience with Data integration| data migration and data transformation techniques. Strong understanding of data quality and data validation techniques. Familiarity with data profiling and data governance best practices. Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Good communication skills to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science| Information Technology| or a related field or equivalent work experience.
