About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated
Data Management & Business Analyst to support complex, large-scale data initiatives. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate multifaceted data challenges, drive actionable insights, and influence long-term planning. You will provide expertise across data governance, analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration.
This role requires a strong background in business and data analysis, with the ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements, user stories, and data specifications. You will evaluate complex data environments, conduct detailed profiling, and help develop solutions for data quality, lineage, and remediation efforts.
Responsibilities- Lead and consult on complex data management initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Analyze large-scale, multi-dimensional data challenges, considering unprecedented or intangible factors.
- Drive end-to-end requirements gathering, including facilitation of stakeholder sessions and documentation of business needs.
- Translate business objectives into clear JIRA user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Conduct data profiling, analytics, and evaluations of relational and NoSQL datasets.
- Collaborate with client and internal teams to develop data management strategies, controls, and process improvements.
- Document and communicate data flows, process flows, and system interactions.
- Coordinate workstreams in Agile environments (Scrum and Kanban).
- Support issue remediation and ensure compliance with data governance, metadata, and lineage standards.
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management, gained through work experience, consulting, training, military service, or education.
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, unions, subqueries, and interpreting pseudo-SQL logic.
- Experience working with financial data, including profiling and analytics.
- Proficiency with MongoDB, NoSQL data structures, and JSON-based data models.
- Familiarity with data governance concepts such as data lineage, metadata, data controls, and issue management.
- Demonstrated ability to document complex data and process flows and drive process improvements.
- Experience working within Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
Preferred Skills- Self-starter with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders at various levels.
- Expertise in evaluating complex datasets and translating them into meaningful insights and requirements.
