Project Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Project Engineer for an onsite role in Jacksonville, FL. This position offers exposure to both hands-on technical modeling and broader project support responsibilities, making it a strong fit for engineers who enjoy variety and continuous learning. The ideal candidate brings a solid engineering foundation, the ability to manage multiple workstreams, and a collaborative mindset.

Duties:
* Assist with the execution of engineering projects involving system modeling, analysis, and simulation for large-scale industrial facilities
* Build, evaluate, and maintain system models that represent fluid and energy behavior using specialized simulation tools
* Apply core engineering principles-such as thermodynamics, electrical fundamentals, or system theory-to ensure models accurately reflect real-world performance
* Support project planning efforts through documentation, scheduling assistance, and progress tracking to help meet delivery timelines
* Follow established quality and verification processes to confirm the accuracy, reliability, and performance of engineering models
* Identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues to maintain project momentum
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, software specialists, and project stakeholders, to integrate models into broader system solutions
* Communicate technical findings, project updates, and potential risks clearly to internal teams and project leadership
* Participate in testing activities, customer interactions, and delivery milestones, including occasional short-term travel when needed
* Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by supporting documentation standards, workflows, and engineering best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
