.NET Developer

Role: .NET Developer
Location: Houston, TX 77002 (ONSITE) 
Duration: 6+ month contract

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a .NET Developer to support custom application development. This role involves hands-on software development, technical support for key business applications. The analyst will work with business users, contribute to change management efforts, and help ensure overall service delivery and customer satisfaction as part of a large enterprise IT team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide technical development and support for custom business applications.
• Collaborate with customers to define system specifications and business/technical requirements, producing documentation that aligns with their needs.
• Responsible for completion of all required Change Management tasks and relevant SOX control requirements (if applicable).
• Utilize industry-accepted project management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices throughout the project life cycle (when applicable).
• Review and maintain application documentation.
• Leverage available resources to build business knowledge and deliver effective business solutions.
• Tracking deliverables and providing reporting to management as needed.
• Support existing ASP.NET Web Forms applications alongside new application development.
• Skilled in applying AI tools to streamline development.

• Bachelor of Science degree from a 4 year accredited university, or 10 years of related industry or technical experience is required.
• 5 years of .NET development experience with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts is required.
• Experience building modern web required.
• Experience building mobile applications preferred.
• Strong Experience with .NET MVC, .NET 4.x and .NET Web Forms preferred.
• Strong Experience with .NET Core, Entity Framework, C#, HTML5, Bootstrap 4, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, React or React Native required.
• Strong Experience gathering requirements and creating mock-ups required.
• Strong Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL and SQL is required.
• Experience with web hosting servers IIS (Kestrel) preferred
• Good understanding of enterprise data models and master data management required.
• Experience with multiple integration methods such as Web Services, Web API, ETL, and Messaging preferred.
• Strong Experience with Entity Developer, Nlog, TDD, MediatR, CQRS, Nsubstitute, Autofac, Fluent Migrations, MsTest, TestStack.Dossier, OpenApi, AutoMapper preferred.
• Experience with documentation tools including Wiki (markdown), LucidChart preferred.
• Strong Experience with Scrum and Kanban preferred.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines preferred.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes preferred.
