This position will prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for electrical infrastructure projects while working closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners.

Job DetailsKey Responsibilities
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, labor estimates, material pricing, and complete project estimates.
- Solicit, organize, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Maintain accurate estimating documentation, pricing, bid tabs, and historical cost information.
- Participate in bid reviews, post-bid analysis, project handoffs, and owner meetings.
- Visit project sites to evaluate conditions, construction methods, sequencing, and potential cost impacts.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of estimating experience with highway lighting, traffic signals, or related electrical infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction, estimating techniques, takeoffs, pricing, and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Understanding of project sequencing, phasing, scheduling, labor, materials, and construction methods.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with HCSS HeavyBid and Microsoft 365 preferred.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience estimating DOT, municipal, highway, roadway, or transportation electrical projects.
- Knowledge of highway lighting, traffic signalization, ITS, underground electrical, and associated infrastructure is highly desirable.
