About the OpportunityOur client is seeking a highly skilled
Senior Data Engineer to join a forward-thinking Decision Science and Integration team. This group uses advanced technologies, optimization, statistical modeling, and cutting-edge analytics to design innovative tools that empower data-driven decisions across a wide portfolio of business areas.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of
data engineering, AI/GenAI innovation, and strategic problem-solving. You will play a key part in building the data foundation for next-generation analytical products.
What You'll DoAs a Senior Data Engineer, you will:
- Lead the research, design, and development of advanced analytic data solutions leveraging GenAI.
- Collaborate closely with business and technology leaders to understand requirements, data sources, and strategic objectives across multiple business units.
- Design, build, and deliver robust ELT/ETL pipelines and data architectures that power high-impact analytics and decision-support solutions.
- Partner with product, data science, and client teams to bring analytical tools from concept to production-including planning, estimating, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Participate in and facilitate design reviews, conduct hands-on data engineering work, and communicate technical approaches and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Multiple years of experience with:
- Designing and building large-scale data structures and pipelines
- ELT/ETL development and maintenance
- SQL and Python
- Strong ability to work across multiple teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with:
- Assessing and estimating data engineering level-of-effort
- Project and sprint planning
- Containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Cloud architectures, preferably AWS.
