Job Details

We are hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher (TOSD) for a school-based program in Fairfield, NJ. This is a strong opportunity for an educator seeking a structured, mission-driven setting supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The teacher will support classroom instruction, student development, and daily educational programming while working closely with classroom staff and interdisciplinary team members. What You'll Do

Provide classroom instruction and educational support for students in a special education setting
Develop and help implement individualized educational plans and student goals
Support student growth in academic, behavioral, communication, and daily living skill areas
Work closely with paraprofessionals, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Maintain classroom structure, documentation, and progress tracking
Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment

What We're Looking For

New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) certification with K-6 endorsement required, or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH)
Prior experience in special education, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or a related school-based setting preferred
Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
Comfortable working with students who benefit from structured support and individualized attention
Organized, dependable, and team-oriented
