Summary

MTSI is seeking a Information System Security Officer (ISSO) who responsible for maintaining the appropriate operational security posture for assigned information systems and ensuring full compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Special Access Program (SAP) security requirements. The ISSO will oversee, implement, and manage the system's security controls throughout its life-cycle.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Assist the ISSM in meeting their duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization package;
  • Attend required technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management) relative to assigned duties.
  • Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the IS.
  • Report all security-related incidents to the ISSM;
  • Conduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with the security authorization package.
  • Coordinate any changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system with the ISSM and AO/DAO prior to the change.
  • Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly.
  • Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
  • Ensure audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented (to include any anomalies).

Required:
  • 10+ years related experience, especially in developing RMF packages or bodies of evidence.
  • 2+ years SAP experience required.
  • Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator or ISSO.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Current/active Top Secret/SCI; Current or recent DoD SAP access
  • Subject to a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph
