Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Data Engineer.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
* Excellent communication skills, both through written and verbal channels
* Ability to work effectively in global teams distributed across geographic locations in an Agile way
* Desire and ability to learn and implement new technologies
* Keen ability to see complex challenges from multiple perspectives, and leaning in to solve independently or with others
* Demonstrated experience developing and debugging SQL and PL/SQL
* Demonstrated experience in using databases such Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.), NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search)
* Thorough understanding of Data modelling and ETL/ELT concepts/tools
* Demonstrated experience in programming - Python, Java, Unix, etc.
* Experience with DevOps or CI/CD Pipelines using Git, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, Ansible, etc.
* Experience in AWS resources like EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, etc.
* Proven knowledge of AWS via Associate, Professional, or Specialty Certification(s) a big plus
* Knowledge in Kafka Streaming/Messaging Technologies (or similar - Kinesis, SNS, SQS) will be a big plus
* Ability to validate, monitor, and solve issues during development, testing, or in production

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
