Role: Datacenter Lead/ Infrastructure Operations Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Datacenter Lead to manage daily data center operations and infrastructure support. This role will be responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and compliant infrastructure services while leading technical teams, handling escalations, and coordinating data center maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and facility-related activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure environments and the ability to work effectively with technical teams, vendors, and senior client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day data center operations covering servers, storage, networking, middleware, and related infrastructure.
• Lead the management of incidents, service requests, changes, problems, and technical escalations, ensuring issues are resolved within established SLA commitments.
• Coordinate infrastructure activities including installations, equipment decommissioning, migrations, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Monitor and maintain operational standards related to security, compliance, audits, and infrastructure controls.
• Plan and oversee scheduled maintenance, system patching, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure improvement activities.
• Work closely with third-party vendors and service providers, coordinating onsite activities, access, logistics, and technical support.
• Ensure accurate and current operational procedures, infrastructure documentation, equipment inventories, and asset records.
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to data center technicians, engineers, and operations personnel.
• Serve as a key operational contact for the client-facing relationship with the Data Center Director, providing updates, coordinating priorities, and addressing operational concerns.
• Support high availability and business continuity objectives by ensuring infrastructure operations are resilient and properly maintained.
• Coordinate multiple operational and infrastructure initiatives while maintaining service quality and minimizing business disruption.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations, infrastructure support, or a closely related enterprise IT environment.
• Strong practical understanding of servers, storage platforms, network infrastructure, power systems, and cooling/environmental controls.
• Hands-on experience with IT service management processes, including incident, change, problem, and escalation management.
• Knowledge of data center security, regulatory/compliance requirements, audit practices, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, assign priorities, mentor team members, and drive operational performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and senior client leadership.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management capabilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate complex data center activities in a fast-paced environment.
