Job Title: Technical Product Manager – Endpoint & Infrastructure Execution
Location : Mountain View, CA Need Locals
Duration: Contract
EXP 10Yrs
A contract Product Manager to own day-to-day execution across Intuit's endpoint and infrastructure portfolio, so the lead PM can stay focused on strategy. This is a hands-on delivery role: working with developers daily, writing user stories, keeping work on track, and running smaller projects from start to finish.
The ideal candidate at a glance:
• Has worked in endpoint before (device management, end-user computing, endpoint experience) and is credible with engineers on day one.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable in the weeds, and able to tie that detail back to the broader strategy and vision.
• Asks the right questions, pushes back on requests that do not make sense, and recommends stopping work that does not earn its place.
• Resourceful and independent, with a proven record of delivering with minimal direction.
• A doer. Strategy is set by the portfolio lead; this person executes.
Work to be done
Drive delivery with engineering
• Partner daily with endpoint and infrastructure engineers; keep the backlog groomed, prioritized and ready for the next sprint.
• Write clear user stories with acceptance criteria, edge cases and the technical detail developers need to build without guessing (for example OS versions, enrollment paths, policy conflicts and rollout rings).
• Track status honestly and surface risks, dependencies and slips early, with a proposed fix.
• Coordinate testing, pilots and phased rollouts, including communications to affected employees and support teams.
Protect the strategy with good judgment
• Test every request and in-flight item against the question: what problem does this solve, and how does it connect to the FY27+ vision? Raise concerns with data, not opinion.
• Recommend pausing or stopping work that is low value, duplicative or misaligned, and bring that recommendation to the portfolio lead with the evidence and trade-offs.
• Turn telemetry and support-ticket data into prioritization input: which device issues drive the most contacts, and which fixes would remove them.
• Send the portfolio lead a short written weekly update covering progress, decisions needed and risks, without being asked.
Own smaller projects end to end
• Take well-scoped, lower-visibility projects that still need to be done well, such as a policy cleanup, an agent or app migration, a vendor feature rollout or a reporting fix, from requirements through launch and handoff.
• Define scope, timeline and success measures up front, and close each project with documentation a support or engineering team can run from.
Support operations and vendors
• Work with endpoint engineering, service desk and security on incidents, escalations and recurring issues that need a product decision.
• Join vendor roadmap and technical sessions, capture what is relevant, and flag renewal or capability questions to the portfolio lead.
