Description: Role: AI Data Analyst Location: New York City, NY Fulltime About the role The AI, Data & Technology Analyst helps identify, evaluate, and apply AI, data, and emerging technology capabilities that deliver measurable business value. Embedded within a Strategic Finance & Operations (SFO) team, this role partners closely with senior leaders to translate new technologies into scalable, practical solutions. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that emphasizes judgment, impact, and real-world outcomes.
What you'll do - Research AI models, tools, platforms, and agent frameworks with a focus on practical adoption, scalability, and economic impact.
- Identify and assess high-value AI use cases across finance, operations, technology, product, and risk.
- Prototype and test AI workflows and agents to evaluate technical feasibility and business value.
- Conduct vendor assessments and technical diligence, separating real capability from hype and aligning solutions to business needs.
- Support technology strategy initiatives, including tool evaluations, build-vs-buy decisions, and emerging technology monitoring.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the enterprise data landscape across business units to improve AI effectiveness and inform data consolidation and strategy.
- Translate complex technical considerations (cost, latency, reliability, accuracy) into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to broader strategic priorities beyond AI and technology as required, working horizontally across SFO initiatives.
Minimum qualifications - Years of experience in AI, data, technology strategy, analytics, product, finance, operations, or a related field, with responsibility for applying technology to business problems.
- Experience researching, evaluating, and communicating insights on emerging technologies, platforms, or vendors to support business decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical tradeoffs (cost, latency, reliability, model performance) into clear recommendations for leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data science, computer science, information systems, analytics, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications - Experience evaluating AI use cases in finance, operations, product, risk, or enterprise technology environments.
- Experience supporting build-vs-buy analyses, vendor diligence, or technology strategy efforts.
- Familiarity with enterprise data environments and their role in AI adoption, data consolidation, and long-term data strategy.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments where analyses and recommendations directly inform senior leadership decisions.
How you'll work - This role is based on-site, Monday through Friday.
- In-person collaboration is considered essential for onboarding, productivity, and effective partnership.
