We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help build and enhance a modern data platform responsible for delivering high-quality data solutions to both internal and external stakeholders. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data applications and user interfaces while contributing across backend, frontend, and cloud-based systems.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment, partnering closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data platform applications and services
• Build and enhance internal user interfaces and data-driven applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
• Implement new features, maintain existing systems, and support production deployments
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Work with modern data architectures including data lakes and medallion frameworks
• Ensure code quality, reliability, and scalability across backend and frontend systems
• Support Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning and delivery activities
Required Qualifications:
• 3-5+ years of software development and data engineering experience
• Strong experience with object-oriented programming languages such as TypeScript, Java, or C#
• Experience with Python for scripting and data-related tasks
• Experience building frontend applications using React and Tailwind CSS
• Familiarity with modern data architectures such as Data Lakes and Medallion Architecture
• Experience working with financial markets data within Private Markets or Financial Services environments
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and code quality practices
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, and relational databases
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and version control best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy systems to modern technology stacks
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures using Kafka or WebSockets
• Experience leading or coordinating offshore and nearshore teams
• Exposure to large language models (LLMs) and agentic AI workflows
Nice-to-Have:
• Experience working in high-growth SaaS or fintech environments
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance speed and quality in delivery
