Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and intellectually curious Business Analyst to partner with Product, Business, and Technology teams in defining and delivering data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent Excel skills, and experience translating business needs into actionable product requirements.

This role will play a key part in requirement discovery, process analysis, feature definition, user story creation, backlog refinement, and stakeholder collaboration. Candidates with a Finance background are preferred, though experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Business Operations is also valuable.

The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and learning-oriented environment where continuous improvement and customer outcomes are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management:
- Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Managers, and development teams to understand business goals and challenges.
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process analysis sessions.
- Lead requirement refinement activities to ensure business needs are clearly defined and documented.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and acceptance criteria.

Feature Definition & Story Creation:
- Partner with Product Leads to define product features and enhancements.
- Create and manage user stories, epics, workflows, and process maps.
- Support backlog grooming and sprint planning activities.
- Ensure user stories are complete, testable, and aligned with business objectives.

Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze business data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and improvement areas.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and business insights using Excel and BI tools.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis.
- Support KPI tracking and business performance measurement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Facilitate discussions to align priorities, scope, and business outcomes.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation activities.
- Assist in change management and user adoption efforts.

Continuous Learning & Improvement:
- Develop understanding of business processes, products, and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing and continuous learning initiatives.
- Embrace new technologies, analytics approaches, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

5-7 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Analysis, Operations Analysis, or related roles.
Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments.
Proven experience documenting requirements and creating user stories.

Mandatory Skills

Works within identified scope of project, gathers business requirements by working with business stakeholders, Business Architecture, IT and Vendors (or cross-functional technical teams).
Very strong hold on SQL, demonstrated capability in writing queries, joins, creating report etc.
Exposure to data warehouse project is good to have.
Ability to facilitate business requirement, elicitation sessions with multiple stakeholders.
Capture and write document business requirements including system application flows and impacts.
Development of new process flows and functionality integration and adding any needed clarity to requirements as well as documenting progress.
Identifies potential issues and risks after conducting a gap analysis.
Plans and consults with business stakeholders on data reporting and trending reports as needed.
Primary contact to assist in defining business system requirements.
Works with appropriate departments to assure technical information is accurate and documented.
Create and apply diagrams that represent the flow, the process, and the transformation of data within various systems for current and future state.
Maintains approved project artifacts and follows version control processes.
Works independently; receives minimal guidance and collaborates well with team.
Ability to coach colleagues with less experience and perform peer reviews for requirements.

Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency:
Pivot Tables
VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
Power Query
Complex formulas
Data cleansing and analysis
Financial and operational reporting
Ability to convert data into actionable business insights

Domain expertise

1. Finance (FP&A, Revenue Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting, P&L Analytics)
OR
2. Sales (Sales Operations, Pipeline Analytics, CRM Insights, Revenue Growth)
OR
3. Operations (Process Optimization, Workforce Planning, Productivity Analytics)

Technical Skills

SQL fundamentals and data querying
Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
Jira, Azure DevOps, or other Agile management tools
Understanding of APIs, data flows, and system integrations
Exposure to AI-assisted business processes and analytics
