Onsite in Cherry Point, NC

The organization seeks a Network Operations Center manager to oversee network systems, architecture, and topology. The role will lead NOC standards and processes, ensure operational security compliance, and guide steady state and contingency planning. The position will drive technology refresh, integrated network solution design, and proactive cybersecurity measures while maintaining architecture and operational documentation.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $35.00 to $45.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee operation of network systems, architecture, and topology through deployment and oversight of network operations specialists.
  • Ensure operating systems are adequate, functional, and conform to operational security policies and procedures.
  • Assist with development and application of business processes to ensure appropriate service levels.
  • Develop and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the NOC.
  • Participate in strategic network planning, steady state operations planning, and development of contingency operation plans.
  • Plan and support injection of new technologies and implementation of technology refresh.
  • Confer with and advise administrators, user representatives, and technical personnel regarding integrated network solution design.
  • Prepare recommendations based on monitoring results, tool analyses, and forensics.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for network equipment, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Prepare status reports.
  • Schedule routine system maintenance and oversee application of proactive cybersecurity measures.
  • Manage reaction to network defense requirements.
  • Develop and maintain system architecture and operational documentation.

Experience Requirements:
  • Experience overseeing enterprise network operations and NOC procedures.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with operational security policies and procedures.
  • Experience with strategic network planning and contingency operations planning.
  • Experience deploying and refreshing network technologies and tools.
  • Experience with network monitoring, analysis tools, and forensic reviews.
  • Experience coordinating with administrators, user representatives, and technical staff to design integrated solutions.
  • Experience scheduling maintenance windows and implementing proactive cybersecurity controls.
  • Experience documenting system architecture and operational processes.

Education Requirements:
  • Original Equipment Manufacturer network support certification such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching.
