Basic QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Responsibilities for this PositionROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:As a Systems Engineer for the Space Force MUOS program, you'll work as a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing and sustaining enhancements to a live communication system. We provide warfighters with a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system.

- Design, development, integration and test of ground communications and network management systems
- Understanding of:
- Network Management areas such as Planning and Provisioning, Key Management, Fault Management and Security Management
- Network Management applications areas including planning and provisioning, messaging and adapters, AAA and PKI.
- Satellite communication (SATCOM) principles and communication types
- Industry standards and safety regulations for electronic equipment
- Engineering tools and techniques to optimize system performance
- Trade studies, determination of system Impacts and courses of action for system upgrades
- Estimation of new or updated features and capabilities
- System risk identification and mitigation
- Ability to understand and review software (Java, PowerShell, bash)
