Summary
Technical Coding Support Specialist
Remote | Contract-to-Hire
iSphere is looking for a Technical Coding Support Specialist who enjoys solving problems, digging into code, and figuring out why something worked perfectly yesterday but suddenly refuses to cooperate today.
This role sits somewhere between developer, analyst, troubleshooter, and reporting specialist. The team needs somebody who can jump into Python scripts, troubleshoot automation issues, build meaningful Power BI reports, and help improve processes without requiring a three-hour meeting to make a simple change.
You''ll work with a variety of technologies, data sources, and internal teams to support coding initiatives, automation efforts, reporting needs, and technical problem resolution.
What they''re really looking for:
• Strong experience with Python development and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Git
• Experience with R and Selenium automation
• Advanced Power BI reporting and dashboard development skills
• Ability to create meaningful reports from APIs, Excel, SQL Server, and other data sources
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Experience working independently and managing multiple priorities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
The day-to-day work includes:
• Supporting and troubleshooting coding and automation solutions
• Developing and improving Python-based tools and processes
• Supporting Docker environments and source control practices
• Creating and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
• Working with APIs, SQL Server, Excel, and other data sources
• Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes
• Collaborating with technical and business teams to solve operational challenges
• Documenting solutions and helping establish coding best practices
Houston-area candidates are preferred, but strong remote candidates will absolutely be considered.
The right person for this role likes solving puzzles, learning new technologies, and figuring things out without waiting for someone else to hand them the answer. Someone who''s just as comfortable reviewing code as they are explaining technical issues to someone who doesn''t speak fluent developer.
And while Power BI is definitely part of the job, they''re not looking for somebody who simply builds pretty charts. They want somebody who can turn data into useful information and help people answer questions they didn''t even realize they should be asking.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing a few different hats, working remotely, and making a measurable impact through automation, reporting, and technical problem-solving.
