.NET Architect – MQTT and gRPC

Job Overview

TechAGI Solutions is seeking an experienced .NET Architect with strong hands-on experience in MQTT and gRPC. The ideal candidate will design scalable, secure and high-performance distributed applications using modern .NET technologies.

The candidate must have practical experience using MQTT for messaging and gRPC for communication between microservices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design scalable applications using C#, .NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
• Define the technical architecture for distributed and real-time systems.
• Design MQTT-based messaging for connected applications and devices.
• Develop high-performance gRPC services using Protocol Buffers.
• Design microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Establish communication patterns between applications, services and devices.
• Define API security, authentication and authorization standards.
• Guide development teams on architecture and coding best practices.
• Review application designs and resolve performance or scalability issues.
• Work with business, development, infrastructure and client teams.
• Create architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Support cloud deployments, containerization and CI/CD processes.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with C#, .NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-level .NET solutions.
• Hands-on experience with MQTT brokers, topics, publishers and subscribers.
• Strong experience with MQTT QoS levels, retained messages and secure device communication.
• Hands-on experience developing gRPC services in .NET.
• Experience with Protocol Buffers and .proto service contracts.
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architecture and messaging systems.
• Knowledge of API security, OAuth 2.0, JWT and TLS.
• Strong communication, documentation and client-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MQTTnet, Mosquitto, EMQX, Azure IoT Hub or AWS IoT Core.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of gRPC streaming, interceptors, deadlines and error handling.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Previous experience in an Architect, Technical Architect or Solution Architect role.
