Job DetailsYou'll partner directly with Engineering and Finance to turn manual processes into production-ready automation, solve meaningful data challenges, and build solutions that teams depend on every day. If you enjoy owning the code and seeing its impact on the business, this is an opportunity to do both.
What you'll do:
- Develop, refactor, test, and support production Python code for data processing, integrations, and automation.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reconciliation, reporting, and data validation.
- Investigate financial and transactional discrepancies, including unmatched records, duplicates, missing data, and timing differences.
- Migrate existing Python jobs and manual workflows to a production orchestration platform.
- Implement scheduling, monitoring, alerting, error handling, and retries.
- Support period-end close, audit requests, and resolution of data discrepancies.
- Document code, data mappings, reconciliation rules, and operational procedures.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of relevant software engineering, data engineering, or automation experience.
- Strong hands-on Python experience building and supporting production solutions.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and aggregations.
- Experience with Snowflake or a comparable data platform.
- Experience reconciling financial or transactional data across multiple systems.
- Familiarity with Git, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Excel proficiency for data validation and operational analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in fintech, payments, banking, payroll, or another transaction-intensive environment is especially valuable. API integrations, SFTP, and processing CSV, JSON, Excel, or fixed-width files are also helpful.
