Your Role

The role of the Senior Producty and Process Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Director. The role will be focused on supporting quality activities at the Aperia manufacturing site and with our suppliers around the world. You will be working with quality, engineering and operations team members to improve product and process quality.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve quality processes with a focus on manufacturing process control, by evaluating process performance and implementing appropriate quality methods to ensure consistent product quality and manufacturing effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers to qualify, improve, or correct products and manufacturing processes through technical reviews, quality assessments, and corrective actions to ensure supplier performance and product requirements are consistently met.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues identified on the manufacturing line or at supplier locations using appropriate problem-solving methodologies, and coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and suppliers, as applicable, to implement and verify corrective actions through closure.
  • Author, issue and execute CARs/SCARs as required by documenting identified nonconformances, investigating root cause, and tracking corrective actions to resolve internal/external quality issues.
  • Support product and process qualifications including trials, testing, data review, and reporting activities both at supplier sites and within Aperia.
  • Statistically analyze production data using SQL, Excel, and Minitab to generate reports designed to resolve quality issues and improve production yield/throughput in collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering
  • Create and maintain work instructions, procedures, and other quality documentation required to support quality activities, and train the quality and manufacturing teams to promote consistent execution and compliance.
  • Participate in various special projects that support the quality, manufacturing and engineering teams.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Education in Quality, Mechanical or similar Engineering disciplines
  • Working knowledge of current GD&T practices and interpretation
  • 5+ years of experience as a quality or manufacturing engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 & IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience and working knowledge of key quality tools used in the manufacturing (5-Why, Fishbone, Gage R&R, GD&T, 8D/CAPA for RCCA)
  • Experience working with database systems in order to extract, format, analyze data and report out conclusions/recommendations
  • Hands on experience using metrology equipment from basic hand tools to CMM, vision systems and similar
  • Experience in Development and New Product Introduction is preferred
  • Ability to travel Domestically and Internationally on occassion

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000

*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
