We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Tier I Network Technician to join our 24/7 overnight operations team!

Role Title: Tier I Network Technician (Network/Telecom Specialist - Junior)
Location: Raleigh, NC (3900 Wake Forest Road)
Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site (Night Shift / 24/7 Operations Environment)
Interview Process: In-Person Interview Only
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm (Contract-to-Hire)
Conversion Compensation: $60,000 / year (Full-time position requires work authorization without visa sponsorship)

Position Overview

This position serves as frontline technical support in a 24/7 statewide operations center responsible for monitoring and coordinating technical support for emergency 911 systems. You will monitor network health dashboards, receive incident calls, log support cases, and coordinate service restoration with major technology vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Network Monitoring: Track dashboards for alerts, outages, and system disruptions across the statewide network.
Incident Management: Log, update, and manage support tickets using Salesforce.
Vendor & PSAP Coordination: Collaborate with 911 centers and technology vendors (e.g., AT&T, Motorola Solutions, Intrado, RapidSOS) to drive incident resolution.
Communication & Shift Handover: Provide professional customer support, track timelines, and maintain accurate handover notes.

Highlighted Skills & Requirements

We are looking for candidates with experience in:

Network & Systems Monitoring: Dashboards, alerting tools, and outage detection.
Ticketing Systems & Escalations: Case management (Salesforce/ServiceNow), timeline logging, and SOG severity routing.
Networking Fundamentals: Basic IP connectivity, network hardware, and telecommunications services.
Technical Diagnostics: Gathering issue details from non-technical/technical users for first-level troubleshooting.
Multitasking: Working across multiple tools simultaneously while taking incoming calls and joining incident bridges.
