Business Systems Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Preference for 2 days onsite; remote flexibility is performance-based and not guaranteed).

Employment Type: Contract

Interview Mode: Initial webcam; follow-up in-person may be required.

Logistics: The selected candidate must pick up equipment in person in Richmond. Parking is not provided for contractors.

Process Documentation: Create and maintain detailed business process flows, UML, and BPMN diagrams.

Data Classification: Lead efforts in data classification, identifying data types and challenges within the organization.

System Integration: Collaborate on designing integration interfaces and authoring system integration documentation.

Requirements Gathering: Conduct Joint Applications Development (JAD) sessions and interviews with SMEs to develop functional and non-functional specifications.

Technical Liaison: Interact with software architects to understand system limitations and assist programmers by providing use cases and flowcharts.

Testing & Training: Plan UAT, create test cases, coordinate results evaluation, and lead end-user training sessions.

BSA Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in business/system interaction analysis and documentation.

Workflow Analysis: 7+ years of experience analyzing business applications and documenting complex workflows.

Requirement Management: 7+ years of experience in gathering requirements and participating in system walk-throughs.

Testing: 7+ years of experience in UAT planning, execution, and coordination.

Modernization: At least 2 years of experience specifically with financial system upgrades or modernizations.

Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum and Kanban) and Universal Modeling Language (UML).

Healthcare Domain: 2+ years of experience in a healthcare IT environment (highly desired).

Local Talent: Candidates local to the Richmond area will be given first consideration.

Agile Expert: 7+ years of hands-on experience in Agile environments.
