The Opportunity:

As a senior Cloud Application Architect, you will translate operational, business, and technical requirements into modern, cloud-native architectures that improve stability, resilience, performance, and maintainability in a secure manner. You will lead efforts to design, develop, and modernize enterprise systems, applying deep technical expertise in cloud services to architect scalable, secure, and resilient solutions aligned to mission and business objectives. Partner with product owners, engineers, cybersecurity spe cia lists, and cloud teams to translate requirements into cloud-based architectures and guide development teams through implementation. Lead architecture reviews, define cloud integration patterns, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices, including DevSecOps, automation, and cloud-native development principles. Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and contribute to long-term technology roadmaps.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience in sof tware engineering and sof tware architecture
• 8+ years of experience with Java development in cloud environments, including modern frameworks such as Spring Boot
• 8+ years of experience with SQL development, relational database design, and performance optimization
• 2+ years of experience architecting or developing solutions using Micro sof t Azure cloud services, including Azure app services, databases, and monitoring features
• Experience leading technical design sessions and delivering architecture documentation
• Experience optimizing sof tware delivery pipelines for cloud-native applications
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Micro sof t Azure cloud services, including containerization such as Azure Kubernetes Service, serverless computing such as Azure Functions, and integration tools such as Logic Apps, or Event Grid
• Experience implementing Azure-centric DevSecOps strategies and continuous deployment pipelines
• Experience with Azure-based event-driven architectures or distributed systems for high-performance, resilient applications
• Possession of excellent communication and stakeholder-e nga gement skills, including in cloud solution design discussions
• Master's degree
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Java Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
