Summary

We are seeking an experienced Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Analyst 3 to support complex, high-volume manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a supply chain professional who excels in MRP systems, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

MRP Planning & Execution

  • Manage the full MRP planning cycle, including requirements calculation, planned orders, and exception message resolution
  • Maintain and analyze master data such as BOMs, item parameters, lead times, lot sizes, and safety stock levels
  • Monitor MRP outputs and prioritize system action messages
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely material availability
  • Establish planning horizons, freeze periods, and MRP run schedules
  • Perform root cause analysis for shortages, excess inventory, and production disruptions

ERP System Management (SAP)

  • Serve as a key resource for SAP MRP, procurement, and inventory management functions
  • Configure planning parameters such as order policies, lead times, and safety stock levels
  • Execute MRP runs and resolve system-generated planning exceptions
  • Support ERP enhancements, testing, and system improvements
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams on system updates
  • Train and mentor junior team members on SAP processes and best practices

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop advanced Excel models for forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory optimization
  • Create reports using SAP tools and custom queries
  • Provide insights on KPIs such as inventory turns, service levels, and planning accuracy
  • Analyze trends and recommend improvements to planning strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
    • OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience
    • OR 9+ years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with SAP ERP in a production environment (MRP, purchasing, inventory)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret large datasets and drive actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, Power Query, macros/VBA)
  • Experience with SAP PP and/or MM modules
  • Experience in high-volume or complex manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of demand planning tools and forecasting methods

This is a Contract position based out of Beavercreek, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.
