Summary
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years (preferably 8–10+) hands-on experience as an RPG Programmer / Analyst on IBM i (AS/400 / iSeries)
- Strong proficiency in:
- RPG IV / RPG ILE / RPG Free (RPGLE)
- CL / CLLE
- Embedded SQL / SQLRPGLE
- DDS, display files, printer files, and subfile programming
- Demonstrated experience supporting or customizing applications in a transportation / LTL / trucking environment
- Experience with heavy customization of packaged or legacy systems (not only vanilla maintenance)
- Ability to read, understand, and safely modify large, complex, long-lived RPG codebases
- Solid understanding of IBM i development lifecycle, debugging, and production support practices
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work with non-technical operations users
