Sr. Platform AI Engineer- W2

Job Summary:

- Location: Applicants must be local to Houston or Dallas, TX (onsite required)
- Employment Type: W2 only (No Corp-to-Corp); No sponsorship available
- Experience Requirement: Must have prior experience with AI Foundry

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, define, and standardize core components of the enterprise AI platform (AI Foundry)
- Establish best practices, frameworks, and reference architectures for AI/ML application development
- Build initial AI-enabled applications (e.g., chatbots, copilots) on the platform
- Demonstrate build capabilities for future development teams to replicate and scale
- Integrate platform with Copilot Studio and Microsoft Copilot, managing access, identity, and security compliance
- Ensure secure system design and integrate with enterprise identity management systems
- Act as a senior individual contributor while collaborating with engineering and product stakeholders
- Mentor junior team members and help rebuild a cohesive team environment
- Support cross-functional teams and partner with leadership on AI adoption strategies

Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong Python development skills (core for AI and data science)
- Proven experience with AI/ML platform engineering or enterprise-scale data platforms
- Familiarity with Copilot Studio, Microsoft Copilot, or similar enterprise AI integration tools
- Knowledge of identity and security integration in enterprise environments
- Experience in large enterprise or consulting settings (not just early-stage startups)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building enterprise AI platforms from the ground up
- Familiarity with cloud-based AI services (Azure OpenAI, AWS AI/ML, etc.)
- Strong communication skills for presenting technical work to various stakeholders
- Prior experience in oil & gas or energy sector is a plus
