Position Overview

8- 10 years of exp. We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of robust data structures across our enterprise data platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between operational transactions, real-time event streams, and cloud analytics.

You will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models using ER/Studio, spanning transactional systems like PostgreSQL and modern cloud analytics platforms like Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Modeling: Design, maintain, and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models for both operational (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) environments using ER/Studio.

Database Architecture Patterns:

Apply deep knowledge of normalization techniques (3NF/BCNF) for transactional data stores and relational integrity.

Design highly scalable Star and Snowflake schemas (Dimensional Modeling / Kimball methodology) tailored for high-performance cloud data warehousing.

Implement Event-Based Data Modeling patterns (e.g., event sourcing, change data capture, append-only immutable logs, state stream integration) for real-time and asynchronous data architectures.

Schema Evolution & Lifecycle Management: Execute forward and reverse engineering processes to document legacy environments, synchronize data models with deployed database schemas, and generate DDL scripts.

Semi-Structured & Containerized Data: Architect data structures supporting JSON / semi-structured data containerization within relational and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake VARIANT, PostgreSQL JSONB).

Pipeline & Integration Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineers to align data models with ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring efficient data flows, partition strategies, lineage, and query performance.

Data Governance & Metadata: Drive enterprise metadata standards, naming conventions, data dictionaries, and enterprise data catalogs within ER/Studio.
