CAD Drafter / Design Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Client is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform mechanical and civil design. This designer will complete as-built drawing documentation. This position will work directly with the project leaders and business partner to develop / maintain drawings, as well as provide technical expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Collaborates with other departments, subject matter experts, technicians and vendors to obtain pertinent information to complete design tasks for proposed projects.
• Develops supporting design packages for piping and mechanical portions of projects.
• Works closely with project leaders, subject matter experts, contractors, and terminal operations personnel to complete as-builts for mechanical and civil work completed at various facilities to maintain core drawings.
• Develops and maintains a working knowledge of company standards, code requirements, and industry best practices.
• Collaborates with specialists and subject matter experts to create standard drawings and specifications for typical systems.
• Proactively manages multiple concurrent projects while ensuring deadlines are met.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree: Associate s degree
• Major: CAD, Engineering Technology, or other technical degree
• Computer Proficiencies: Familiarity and experience with Autodesk products is preferred.
• Work Experience: Mechanical and civil knowledge and experience preferred.

Immediate start; full time W2 contract engagement.
