We are looking for Cards Mainframe Developer for our client in Toronto ON.

Job Title: Cards Mainframe Developer

Job Location: Toronto ON

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Associate should be a strong in Mainframe development with 4 to 8 years of experience.

Requirement/Must Have:

4+ years of experience in Mainframe development.
Experience in JCL, COBOL, VSAM, and DB2.
Good knowledge in Unix scripting.
Good knowledge in Agile.
Good knowledge in Card Domain Issuing end.
Aware of end-to-end Card lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

Provide support for fixing defects during the testing cycle.
Manage the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
Provide technical solutions, perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure the quality of deliverables.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to mainframe applications.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and design technical solutions.
Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovative solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve the software development process and team productivity.
Create and maintain technical documentation including functional and technical specifications.
Work with other teams such as business analysts and QA to deliver successful projects.
Identify and mitigate technical risks.
Provide guidance and support to other team members.
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
Optimize mainframe systems for performance and efficiency.
Provide support for testing efforts including defect resolution.
Participate in release management activities.
Understand the business needs and how mainframe applications support those needs.
