The Boeing Company seeks an experienced Information Technology Manager in our Everett, WA location to lead the Boeing Configuration Services (BCS) and Data Migration engineering team within the Information Digital Technology & Information (IDT&S) Engineering & Product Support division.

You will lead a globally distributed software team that designs, builds, deploys, and supports Boeing Configuration Services & Data Migration solutions that enable Boeing engineers across the product lifecycle. This hands-on manager will combine technical leadership, people development, and cross-functional delivery to improve engineering productivity, system reliability, and user experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed BCS & Data Migration engineering team and direct reports supporting the broader 3DX PLM product family; cultivate an inclusive, accountable, human-centered team culture
  • Own the team roadmap and deliverables: plan work, prioritize backlog, and ensure on-time delivery of milestones and capabilities
  • Manage the full software lifecycle: requirements, architecture, implementation, automated testing, CI/CD, release, deployment, and maintenance
  • Partner with Product, IT Operations, and IT Security to collect requirements, define acceptance criteria, and set realistic timelines
  • Own resource planning and budget inputs: hiring plans, tool/service acquisition, staffing tradeoffs, and succession planning
  • Communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership

Success metrics
  • On-time delivery of roadmap milestones and prioritized capabilities
  • Team health: retention, engagement, completion of development plans, and skills growth
  • Stakeholder satisfaction with integrations and usability of BCS & Data Migration tools
  • Quantifiable outcomes from pilots/adopted technologies (time saved, cost reduced, capability uplift)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or STEM related technical field
  • 3+ years leading software engineering teams (including remote/distributed teams)
  • Experience delivering customized solutions for large engineering applications
  • Strong knowledge of modern software engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code review, and cloud/native deployment patterns
  • Experience with Agile delivery at team and multi-team levels and coaching teams on Lean and user-centered practices
  • Experience with vendor/contractor management and budget/resource planning

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master's degree in relevant discipline
  • Experience integrating with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, CATIA, 3DX) or related engineering toolchains
  • Experience with enterprise security, identity, and cloud architectures used in aerospace/engineering contexts
  • Experience with vendor/contractor management experience and budget/resource planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present status, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical leaders
