Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Network Engineer in support of our enterprise storage, compute and networking customers based in Milpitas, CA. The Network Engineer acts as an extended member of customer team to support the account on daily basis. This role holds an intermediate background in networking and hardware - Aruba Controllers, Airwave servers, and ClearPass Servers.

Responsibilities:
* Be physically present on-site for this role
* Perform routine checks on the network to ensure it is up to standards
* Support employees with setting up Layer 1, physical connections
* Be able to update and modify documentation and processes
* Work with employees to resolve connectivity issues in lab effectively and efficiently
* Identify potential issues and monitor/update the tasks

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study
* 2+ years of work experience in related field
* Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
* Wireless experience: Controllers and Access Points
* Knowledge of hardware requirements for Aruba product portfolio: Switching, Routing,
Wireless AP and IAP, Controllers, SD-WAN, Aruba AirWave, Aruba ClearPass and,
Aruba Meridian
* Familiarity of networking (LAN-WAN-WLAN)
* Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
* Basic business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection
* Effective communication skills, attention to detail, ownership, change management skills,
team player and collaborates with product and support teams
* Experience working in a fast-paced multi-vendor environment involving quick
turnaround time
* The ability to work alone, without much direction; Will be receiving requests and will maintain the physical integrity of the lab
* If a candidate lacks Aruba-specific product experience but demonstrates strong general networking skills, certifications, and hands-on project work, they may still be considered

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
