Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled level 3 service technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of access control equipment and IP-based video security systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and consistently demonstrates performance aligned with Allied Universal Technology Services' (AUTS) core values.
This position involves regular travel to commercial client sites to ensure the operability, reliability, and code compliance of advanced security technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Service, repair, and troubleshoot access control systems and IP-based video surveillance equipment.
- Work with a wide range of devices, including electrified and non-electrified locks, card readers, door hardware, intercom systems, and IP/analog cameras.
- Diagnose system issues and apply efficient, effective solutions in compliance with company standards and building codes.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to service tickets, repairs, and system issues.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and CCTV diagnostic devices safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings, and technical documentation.
- Provide remote technical support via phone or online diagnostic tools.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Drive to commercial client sites using a company-issued vehicle to perform onsite service tasks.
- Complete additional duties assigned by Operations Management.

- Experience with installation and repair of security and cabling systems
- Understanding of Windows OS and basic IT network topology
Qualifications- High School Diploma, Vocational School training, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of field experience in security systems, access control, or related low-voltage technologies.
- Experience with any of the following systems preferred:
- Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo
- Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch
- Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, ONSSI
- Ability to obtain any required state-specific licensing (e.g., Class D, Alarm Installer).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders up to 16 feet high.
- Strong mechanical and electronics aptitude.
- Willingness to participate in scheduled "on-call" rotations for emergency support.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tamarac, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
