Job Description

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.

Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

The agency is seeking an experienced Python developer to automate the data exchange and data processing in Snowflake.

II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.

8 Required Python

4 Preferred Developing automated solutions involving exchanging data with external partners.

2 Preferred Development for Snowflake Database

2 Preferred Building solutions including Snowpipe.

2 Preferred Building User Defined Functions (UDFs) in Snowflake

1 Preferred Building solutions in Snowflake that include a custom user interface.

III. TERMS OF SERVICE

Services are expected to start 06/15/2026 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2026. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 1040 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.

IV. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION

Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.

The primary work location(s) will be at 701 W 51st Street, Austin, TX 78751. The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework.
