Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester with strong Automation and Governance experience to join a dynamic team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software quality through comprehensive testing strategies, automation frameworks, governance compliance, and quality assurance best practices.

Required Skills

7+ years of Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience.
Strong experience in Test Automation using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, UFT, or similar.
Experience developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
Expertise in QA Governance, Test Management, and Quality Processes.
Experience creating test plans, test strategies, test cases, and traceability matrices.
Hands-on experience with API Testing (Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI).
Strong SQL skills for backend/database validation.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
Experience using defect management and test management tools such as Jira, ALM, Zephyr, or qTest.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
Experience with Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC), or audit-related QA processes.
Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Automation certifications or QA certifications are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute manual and automated test cases.
Develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks.
Establish and enforce QA governance standards and testing best practices.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners.
Track defects through resolution and ensure high-quality releases.
Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Prepare quality metrics, dashboards, and governance reports.
Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and regulatory requirements.
