Genesis10 is currently seeking a Python Developer for a hybrid position (minimum 3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. As part of an agile scrum team, the candidate will join the Dynamic Pricing engine team and participate in the transformation and implementation of a next-generation DPE engine. The successful candidate will work with users to refine requirements, design and develop high-quality, scalable systems, and will be responsible for driving the implementation of key program initiatives.
Responsibilities: - Design and develop high-quality and scalable systems
- Work with users to refine requirements within an agile scrum team
- Drive the implementation of key program initiatives
- Provide third-line support for business and trading operations
Requirements: - 7+ years of professional experience developing solutions with Python, should be well versed with OOP
- Fundamental RDBMS skills and proficiency in ANSI SQL
- Proven track record of interacting with different groups at various levels in a large organization
- Strategic thinker who can focus on process improvement
- Ability to apply architectural patterns and principles to achieve reusability, testability, scalability and maintainability
- Experience with financial data (e.g., FIX)
- TDD/BDD experience, including experience with refactoring, testing frameworks (JUnit, xUnit and similar) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
- Experience with release management, branching strategies and distributed source control systems such as GIT
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging software (TIBCO, Solace, MQ, etc)
- Experience and desire to work in an Agile process (pair programming, daily stand-ups, etc.)
- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful web services
- Demonstrable knowledge of the problem domain in which they have been working
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired skills: - Domain driven design
- Distributed systems experience
- Developing Microservices and SOA based architecture
- Relevant industry (Securities Lending) experience
- AI first approach
- Docker / Chef
Pay range: $61.60 - $69.60 per hour
