\n Location: Brunswick, Georgia
\n Schedule:
\n Monday to Friday, day shift
\n 8-hour shifts preferred, with flexibility for 4x10s
\n On-call rotation every 3 weeks for one full week
\n Compensation: $33.20 - $48.84 per hour

Job Overview:

\n

We are seeking a certified Echo Technician / Cardiac Sonographer to join a busy cardiopulmonary team at a 240-bed hospital in Brunswick, Georgia.

\n

This role is ideal for a motivated, growth-minded sonographer who is comfortable working in a high-volume echo environment and is committed to producing high-quality diagnostic studies. The department performs 400+ echocardiograms per month and uses advanced echo equipment, including five echo machines and four E95 machines. The team also performs 3D and 4D scans.

\n

The Echo Technician will perform diagnostic-quality ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels while working closely with cardiologists, clinical staff, and department leadership.

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

Perform diagnostic echocardiograms and cardiac ultrasound studies.
\n Obtain required views and quantitative landmarks for each study.
\n Perform measurements according to department protocol.
\n Prepare images, reports, and video for physician review.
\n Respond appropriately to STAT, ASAP, and same-day echo requests.
\n Recognize and report life-threatening ultrasound findings.
\n Operate and maintain echo equipment safely.
\n Support a high-volume department performing 400+ echos per month.
\n Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other clinical team members.
\n Follow department policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

\n

High school diploma or equivalent required.
\n Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
\n Echocardiography experience preferred.
\n Certification required through one of the following:
\n ARDMS as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, RDCS
\n CCI as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer, RCS

\n

Preferred Skills:

\n

Experience with M-Mode, 2D, Color Doppler, TEE, 3D, and 4D imaging.
\n Strong attention to detail and image quality.
\n Ability to work independently in a busy clinical environment.
\n Comfortable with a high-volume echo workload.
\n Strong communication and teamwork skills.
\n Coachable, dependable, and committed to continued professional growth.
