Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead with 12+ years of experience to lead quality assurance activities across complex software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for test strategy, planning, execution, automation, defect management, and coordination with development, business, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QA planning, test strategy, test execution, and quality processes across projects.
• Define test scenarios, test cases, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Manage defect identification, tracking, prioritization, and resolution.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, and Project Managers.
• Guide QA teams and review testing deliverables and results.
• Support test automation and identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency.
• Monitor testing progress, risks, issues, and quality metrics.
• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies and SDLC activities.
• Coordinate production validation and post-release testing.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Strong experience in manual and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience developing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test strategies.
• Strong experience with functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Experience with defect management and root-cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, ALM, Quality Center, or similar.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Good understanding of API testing and SQL/database testing.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps environments.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with REST/SOAP API testing.
• Experience with Postman or REST Assured.
• Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or similar tools.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience leading distributed and cross-functional QA teams.
• Knowledge of QA metrics, quality governance, and test reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
