Our client is a nationally recognized healthcare organization dedicated to advancing care for individuals living with chronic and complex conditions. Through a broad network of care delivery models and a strong focus on innovation, the organization is committed to improving outcomes, enhancing quality of life, and enabling coordinated, patient-centered care.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead the delivery of two high-impact enterprise initiatives focused on AI-powered financial intelligence and machine learning applications. This dual-role position will oversee end-to-end project execution while also guiding Agile development teams through planning, sprint execution, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong technical project management experience, hands-on financial and budget oversight, and the ability to balance strategic stakeholder management with the day-to-day responsibilities of a Scrum Master.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead Strategic Technology Initiatives: Manage the full project lifecycle for two enterprise technology implementations, including an AI-driven supplier spend intelligence platform and a machine learning predictive modeling solution. Oversee project scope, schedules, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and release milestones while keeping cross-functional teams aligned.
Manage Project Budgets and Financial Governance: Own project financials from initial planning through delivery, including budget development, forecasting, actuals reconciliation, CapEx/OpEx tracking, vendor and SOW expenses, and change requests. Partner with Finance to manage monthly reporting cycles, investigate budget variances, and communicate financial updates to leadership.
Drive Stakeholder and Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with business project managers, product owners, engineering and data teams, technology partners, vendors, and executive sponsors. Establish clear ownership and accountability across teams, manage vendor deliverables, and coordinate technical dependencies, integrations, and enterprise governance reviews.
Facilitate Agile Delivery: Serve as Scrum Master for both project teams, leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives. Maintain and prioritize JIRA backlogs, track sprint progress and team velocity, remove impediments, and promote consistent Agile practices.
Oversee Reporting, Adoption, and Continuous Improvement: Maintain integrated project plans, RAID logs, dashboards, and executive status reports. Coordinate testing, release readiness, training, onboarding, and production implementation while tracking business outcomes and identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes.
Our ideal candidate has:
8+ years of IT project management experience, preferably supporting financial systems, procurement, ERP platforms, enterprise SaaS implementations, or other complex technology initiatives.
At least 3 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master for Agile delivery teams, including facilitating ceremonies, managing backlogs, and tracking sprint execution in JIRA.
Demonstrated experience simultaneously managing Project Manager and Scrum Master responsibilities across multiple projects.
Required hands-on project financial management experience, including building and maintaining budgets, forecasting, reconciling actuals, tracking CapEx/OpEx, managing vendor and SOW expenses, and preparing project change requests.
Experience delivering AI, machine learning, analytics, or data platform initiatives, with an understanding of data pipelines, cloud environments, enterprise integrations, and SaaS implementations.
Familiarity with tools and platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Apptio/TargetProcess, Oracle EBS/Cloud, and Coupa.
Understanding of procurement, sourcing, accounting, and financial business processes.
Experience coordinating vendor implementations, SSO/identity integrations, release management, and enterprise technology governance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level reporting, manage expectations, and build relationships across technical and business teams.
PMP certification required or strongly preferred. Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM, or SAFe SSM also required or strongly preferred.
Experience with product management platforms or Phenom is a plus.
