About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Consultant to join our Payroll Product Team. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Technology, and Executive Leadership to support and enhance Workday Payroll solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong Workday Payroll expertise with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This position offers the potential to convert to a full-time opportunity based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Workday Payroll initiatives.
  • Configure and support Workday Payroll solutions to meet business and operational needs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Technology teams, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and related documentation in Jira.
  • Support Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and release activities.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Workday, including requirements gathering, system configuration, and testing.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting the Workday Payroll module.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Experience creating and managing user stories and requirements in Jira.
  • Strong testing and quality assurance experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday Payroll Certification.
  • Experience partnering with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
