DESCRIPTION

As Program Manager II, you will oversee multiple complex emergency services technical projects and initiatives that drive product development and technical innovation. You will work closely with network planning teams, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and align with business goals. This role requires strong program management expertise combined with a solid understanding of emergency services operations and NG911.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and coordinate multiple projects supporting 911, NG911, public safety, telecommunications, or emergency services programs.




  • Demonstrated experience leading projects to deliver complex technical programs within scope, schedule, and budget




  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, including timelines, milestones, resources, and dependencies




  • Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating when necessary to maintain program health




  • Experience working with Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), emergency communications centers, state and local government agencies, or telecommunications providers.




  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between network planning, product management, network operations centers, and other teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery




  • Monitor and report program progress, metrics, and status to senior leadership and stakeholders




  • Drive continuous improvement of program management processes within the engineering organization




  • Support capacity planning, resource allocation, and prioritization across emergency services projects



REQUIREMENTS


  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.




  • Strong understanding of E911 and Next Generation 911 (NG911) technologies and services.




  • Knowledge of ESINets, SIP-based communications, call routing, emergency call delivery, and related telecommunications infrastructure.




  • Familiarity with NENA standards, FCC regulations, and public safety industry best practices.




  • Understanding of carrier, CLEC, ILEC, wireless, VoIP, call flows and emergency services environments.




  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.




  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to work with technical and non-technical teams




  • Experience with program management tools (MS Project, Click Up or similar)




  • Ability to manage competing priorities and lead through influence in a fast-paced environment



This role is primarily remote, but candidates must reside near one of our hub locations for occasional collaboration: Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; San Antonio, TX; Denver, CO; Seattle, WA

The annual starting salary for this position is between $75,200 - $100,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
