Summary

Job description:

The Base Erosion and Anti-Abuse Tax (BEAT) was adopted as part of the 2017 tax reform bill and is a tax meant to prevent foreign and domestic corporations operating in the United States from avoiding domestic tax liability by shifting profits out of the United States.

For BEAT, we would need a person(s) who will be able to work in the areas of:

Service: Support quote, requote, how the Service will be transferred to a CR shop, how will service provided by a CR shop be ultimately billed to the customer (details required in the invoice) etc.
Procurement: How will the procurement function work in holding company, how will the inventory be managed (logically not physically), how will BEAT items be transferred to a CR shop etc.
Finance: How will the invoice be received from CR shops outside the US, how will US settle the invoice, any other financial transactions, tax calculations etc.

This person should be a seasoned SAP architect capable of leading the design effort and pulling detailed requirements through formal and informal interactions with the customer.

Note: It is a US IRS regulation. However, we don't need a resource who is a finance tax consultant but one who understands the logistics processes and impacts.

It's a similar concept to the EU Regulations BEPS (Base Erosion and Profit Sharing) or more commonly known as LRD (Least Risk Distributorship) which were implemented circa 2018 to get rid of the Commissionaire Model. This got rid of countries acting as Principal in Switzerland, Ireland etc and not paying taxes in countries where the actual product got sold. So they had to implement a Distributor model in Selling nations.
