Job Description
We are currently seeking a contract Senior Java Developer to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
Responsibilities
Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigates problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
This contractor role is for a Senior Java Developer, and the position will work on the SCOR BAU EI parallel initiative. This role will be responsible for making updates to the SCOR Java. Updates include changes to business logic, updates to the user interface and business logic as well as extending reporting capabilities and the system data model. Supports application enhancements and defect corrections in maintenance mode. Supports applications in multiple environments with coding testing, peer reviews, documentation, defect root cause analysis, and troubleshooting as required. Maintaining code coverage, testing, and security policies and procedures is required. Available for on-call support as needed. Other duties as assigned and required by the unit operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
8 years of:
- Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in Java programming language
- Experience in applications development on J2EE platform
- Experience in writing SQL for relational databases
- Experience in RESTful web services on Spring platform
- Experience working on Spring Aspect Oriented Programming like transaction management and security
- Experience in RESTful web services on Spring platform
- Experience with JUnit and Unit Test development Preferred
Preferred:
4 years of:
- Experience with Angular UI Framework
- Experience with Crystal Reports
- Experience with PowerBI
