In this Proposal Manager (Early-Career) role, you will be responsible for working as a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Acquisition/Proposal Lead focusing primarily on future efforts/contracts and acquisition strategy and NBAE.

In addition, the ideal candidate will contribute to AI adoption initiatives within the THAAD New Business Team. Key responsibilities may include:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and support the execution of AI projects
Assist in the implementation and sustainment of AI adoption initiatives
Ensure activities, training materials, and documentation remain organized and up to date
Prepare presentations, reports, and updates for leadership on status, milestones, and outcomes
Drive awareness and champion adoption of AI tools

The main role of the THAAD New Business Team within the context of proposal development is to provide leadership, oversight, and acquisition strategy to the THAAD FMS, TFODC, TPSC, Production, and future contracts. This role will lead and support other Proposal Managers across the THAAD contracts to evolve program needs into a fully defined, on-contract project with the U.S. Government. This involves the entire acquisition life cycle from pre-coordination with Government, developing
Program Management Estimates (PMEs), Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROMs) and Proposals, and supporting negotiations with the customer and Subcontractors. This Proposal Manager (Early-Career) position requires close coordination of technical and schedule requirements with internal Lockheed Martin Subject Matter Experts. The Proposal Manager (Early-Career) must be able to work effectively in fast paced and dynamic environments, must be able to learn across all business functions and will support Staff level assignments.

Basic Qualifications

1+ years of professional experience.
Previous experience as an interface or representative to external customers/stakeholders.
Experience with managing budgets (such as CAM, Financial or Cost Analyst, etc.).
ship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired skills

Previous experience with Request for Proposals (RFP) process and evaluation
4+ years of experience in project management, finance,
systems engineering, and/or new business efforts
Strong technical understanding of AI Fundamentals and Generative AI
AI/ML adoption experience: evaluating, piloting, and scaling AI driven solutions
Strong organization, analytical, presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills
Proactive
Able to develop strategic process improvement for the assigned team and look for ways to implement in the organization.
Challenge driven leader with proven track record of meeting objectives and executing on commitments.
Ability to manage escalations and appropriately communicate to all stake-holders and executive staff
Familiarity with business processes (invoicing, billing, funding, etc.) in the context of prime and subcontracts
Experience with IDIQ contracts
Familiarity with THAAD weapon system elements, capabilities and CONOPS
Experience presenting to Senior Leadership
Ability to travel if/as needed
Active Secret clearance

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $63,800 - $112,470. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $73,400 - $127,075. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
