Job Title: Logistics Manager Specialist

Location: Warner Robins, Georgia

Introduction:

Rivet Operations Company has an opening for a Logistics Manager Specialist to join our rapidly growing team in the Warner Robins, GA area. This position will provide logistics support to the 638 Supply Chain Management Group (SCMG). This role involves applying comprehensive knowledge of logistics principles and systems to manage acquisition and sustainment efforts for weapon systems and related programs. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert support in all areas of LMS, including:
  • Requirements definition
  • Performance and risk assessment
  • Specification development
  • Configuration and data management
  • Safety and quality assurance
  • Enterprise repair strategies
  • Reliability and maintainability planning
  • Technology insertion and transition
  • Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to:
  • Analyze installation and Major Command planning documents
  • Define the scope and nature of acquisition and sustainment efforts
  • Guide and support logistics systems and processes:
  • Develop tactical and strategic acquisition strategies
  • Utilize systems such as RAD, PRPS, WAWF, LIMS-EV, DLA Asset Visibility, CAV-AF, and PDMC/DDE
  • Create and manage program continuity documentation including:
  • Program continuity books
  • Bullet background papers
  • Retention letters and packages
  • Market research reports
  • Lead or participate in IPTs and implement continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as AFSO21 8-Step Problem Solving


Requirements

JOB REQUIRMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) policies and procedures.
  • 8 years of demonstrated relevant experience required.
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to interact efficiently with Military Personnel and Civilians
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications
  • Proven experience in logistics management, preferably within a defense or government supply chain environment
  • Familiarity with Air Force logistics systems and documentation practices
  • Ability to interpret technical data and develop logistics strategies
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with acquisition lifecycle support and sustainment planning

Preferred Skills:

  • Background in systems engineering, acquisition logistics, or supply chain analysis
  • Experience supporting military weapon systems logistics
  • Knowledge of DLA and commercial asset visibility systems

Physical Requirements:

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. May include lifting to 25 pounds as necessary.
