To support our Chemical Operations in Saegertown, PA, we are seeking a Lean Engineering Intern. In this position, you will be responsible for learning the various aspects of the Parker Lean System. This includes participation in continuous improvement events and activities, supporting the Layered Process Audit program, and principles of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to obtain positive results in a Chemical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing and implementing standard work, work instructions, and other documented processes
Participate in continuous improvements events, such as Kaizen
Working with manufacturing and non-manufacturing High Performance Teams to conduct problem solving exercises utilizing data collected by the teams
Implementing problem solving tools to reach solutions, such as Fishbone diagrams, 5-Why analysis, Fault Tree Analysis
Ensure that safety and quality are maintained when implementing changes
Work on projects that realize cost savings for the facility
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIRED
At least Soph level in BS/BA Engineering program
