Senior Analyst Revenue Cycle:
The Senior Analyst works with large datasets to uncover key business trends, operational issues, and performance opportunities.
This role partners with business leaders to define analytical needs, translate them into technical requirements, and deliver data-driven insights that support strategic decision making across the organization, with a primary focus on Epic Cogito, Clarity, and Caboodle data environments.
Job Qualifications / Education / Training / Certification / Licensure:
- Degree in business management, finance, or related field, or 5+ years of experience in business analytics within healthcare revenue cycle
- Strong hands-on experience with Epic Cogito suite, including Clarity, Caboodle, and Reporting Workbench as primary data sources
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret Epic revenue cycle data domains (billing, claims, AR, denials, posting, collections)
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify appropriate analytical approaches depending on business need
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as Tableau
- Strong SQL development experience (SQL Server, Snowflake, or similar platforms)
- Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline development (e.g., Informatica or equivalent)
- Ability to effectively document and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Exceptional ability to visually present and communicate data, analyses, and findings
- Great attention to detail to ensure the highest level of quality and rigor in reporting and analysis
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage varying workloads with a high degree of accuracy
- Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and quality-driven
Job Specific Requirements:
- Serve as a primary analytics resource for Epic Cogito (Clarity/Caboodle) data, supporting revenue cycle performance management
- Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards utilizing Epic data structures and downstream data platforms
- Develop operational dashboards to support Revenue Cycle functions including claim preparation, submission, management, payment posting, and collections
- Extract, transform, and analyze data from Epic Clarity/Caboodle and integrate with enterprise platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau)
- Communicate insights, trends, and actionable recommendations to key stakeholders, including revenue cycle and finance leadership
- Develop distribution-ready reports and analyses across book of business, entities, and departments
- Build and optimize dashboards leveraging SQL and Tableau
- Document data definitions, business logic, and reporting processes within Epic and downstream systems
- Partner with IT and data engineering teams to improve Epic data architecture, data quality, and reporting performance
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to business workflows and supporting technologies
- Support onboarding of new entities by aligning Epic data structures and reporting requirements during integration
- Establish and promote best practices for data management, governance, and reporting standards
